What a whirlwind month July was in Long Beach! The Center is incredibly honored that so many people and organizations came out in support of our programs and services.

We’d like to start out by thanking four organizations in particular for their generous contributions; the DLBA for donating over $6000 to our MYTE Program from Pink Party proceeds, Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride donating over $1000 to our programs and services, Shoreline Frontrunners and Students Advocating for Change donating $18000 to MYTE and our 20Somethings group, and Brad Shore’s Sunday Brunch Bunch for raising $1800 for Long Beach AIDS Ride. Without the support of community members and organizations like these, operations of The Center would be impossible!

PS We’d like to extend our warmest thanks to Women of 40+ for making The Center their home for the last 20 years. Thank you for all you contribute to the women’s community in Long Beach and we hope you find your new day (Thursdays) and location (St. Gregory’s Episcopal Church 6201 E. Willow St.) a great fit for your growing membership. We’ll miss each and every one of you Women of 40+!
