We’re BACK for the Winter edition of our Clothing Swap! Save the Date!
Summer is over and winter is here! Are there any gently used items in your closet that are no longer your style or that you’d like to get rid of to switch out for the season and to make room for some new goodies?
If so, we’d love to have them and YOU at the Winter Swap!
Swapping starts at 12:30pm
All left over clothing will be donated to a local women’s shelter
How this works:
You bring gently used items of clothing and accessories to swap and come ready to leave with some “new-to-you” goodies.
**Please ensure to launder any items you bring with you before the swap**
All clothing will be separated by sizes NOT gender. If you think something is cute, feel free to TRY IT! DOWN WITH GENDER BINARIES!
We had a pretty large selection of Plus Sized items last time and would love to see that again this go around <3
Take what you love for yourself, leave behind what you don’t so someone else can LOVE IT!
There’s NO limit to what you can take. If you only brought 1 thing, and want to leave with 10, as long as you love those 10 items, that’s OK!
We want to make this space as body positive as possible! NO Negative Body Talk and NO Diet Talk! ALL BODIES ARE GOOD BODIES!!!
VOLUNTEERS VOLUNTEERS VOLUNTEERS – We NEED You!!! One of the lessons learned from last swap is that we needed MORE Volunteers due to the influx of so many amazing clothes. Can you donate 1.5 hours of your time or more during the swap to help sort clothes? Please email [email protected]
Parking: There will be approximately 20 spaces in the back parking lot with 4 spaces designated for folks with handicap placards. There’s an additional paid parking lot across the street caddy corner to the center and there is limited street parking.
Access info: The swap will take place on the ground floor. There are two wheelchair accessible restrooms on that floor as well. There is a parking lot in the back with handicap designated parking spaces. This event is not a scent-free space.
Special thanks to The LGBTQ Center Long Beach for welcoming us in their space for the swap.
