Many people within our community have/are/will experience violence in their intimate relationships. It is estimated that approximately 33% or more people within our community will experience domestic violence. The LGBTQ Center of Long Beach is committed to building a healthy and violence free community. One of the many ways the Center does this is through our Domestic Violence Services Program. Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence is a systematic pattern of behaviors where one person tries to control the thoughts, beliefs, and/or actions of their partner, someone they are dating or had an intimate relationship with. This may include physical, mental, verbal, sexual, financial and emotional abuse. The Center offers free confidential and supportive services for victims of domestic violence/Intimate partner violence. Our services are listed below:
